The applicant can be the patient or anyone wanting to help the patient by co-signing or applying on behalf of the patient. If approved, it is interest-free for 12 months. There are no penalties for not paying the total amount within the 12 month period. If there is a balance due at the end of the 12 months, the interest accrues on only that remaining balance going forward.
